This is Jaclyn.

Jaclyn’s enthusiasm and “can-do” attitude are contagious, especially during the festive holiday season. It’s been a year and a half since Jaclyn joined the Buyatab gang and since then, she has grown from her Client Success Coordinator role to become a Manager, where she now leads a fantastic team.  When she’s not at her desk, you’ll find her walking the streets for her favourite salad at Nosh or on a quest to find the world’s most delicious chocolate chip cookie.

Q: What does a typical day at Buyatab look like for you?

Busy – lots of meetings! I have my regular scheduled calls with our clients and in between, I am corresponding by email or having meetings with the team. Lately, we have been working on new client implementations and projects which requires working closely with the Development team. Our team attends daily scrums to ensure our (new and existing) client requests are taken care of. I also work internally with other departments at Buyatab, including Finance, Product, Customer Service and Sales.

Oh – but most importantly, I always make sure to do a round to say hi to the office dogs!

Q: What has been your most memorable moment at Buyatab so far?

So far, my most memorable moment at Buyatab would have to be the client summit in Montreal in June 2019. I got to work with the team on planning the summit and the content for it all year long. Seeing the execution and meeting different clients and business partners was really memorable. Plus, we got to enjoy Montreal!

Q: It’s the holiday season! What is a gift you wanted so badly as a kid but never received?

A dog… I wanted one up until a year ago when we got one so I’ve waited a long time. It was the first time that I didn’t have to ask for one – it was and still is the best gift ever! When Hallie isn’t off on one of her adventures, she’s picking up occasional shifts at Buyatab,  but I’m hoping her schedule will open up a bit more in the New Year. Maybe a doggie promotion will entice her..

Q: If you had your own talk show, who would be your first guest? What are some topics you’d talk about?

That’s easy- the Queen! I’d ask her about her day-to-day activities, holiday traditions, past historic events she was involved in, her corgis, and try to get her to set some of the rumours around the Royal Family straight!

Q: Where can we find you during the Holiday break?

During the winter, definitely skiing or on getaways all over B.C. My favourite place to hike is anywhere on Gambier Island. There are beautiful views and quiet trails that are all dog friendly.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about the Holidays?

I love everything about the holidays! But If i had to choose, I would say the decorations, the festivities and THE FOOD!
