We believe that wins – big or small – should be celebrated and shared. 2019 was our busiest year yet as we added several more Buyatabers – full and part time. With a quickly growing team of over 75 people, we were able to tackle challenges and reach our goals, putting us one step closer to achieve our shared vision.
Here are some of our wins of 2019:
1. Re-branding
We switched it up! Have you noticed our new logo and the added blue? With our new-found partnership, we stayed true to ourselves while integrating parts of SVS into our new look – the best of both worlds!
2. Promo Codes
We introduced promo codes – a highly requested new feature, allowing our partners to have another method of giving back to their valued customers. Promo codes also increase customer engagement and brand loyalty.
3. Clients launched
We are proud to have partnered with 16 leading companies this year, helping them to implement and grow their digital and physical gift card programs.
4. Awards won
We were presented with the Enterprise Fast 15 Award, a new category as part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program that recognizes cutting-edge technology companies. Along with this award, we were also named as one of Canada’s Top Growing 2019 companies by the Globe and Mail.
5. Celebrated 10 years of Buyatab
Our celebration included a company-wide BBQ with lots of team bonding activities and games for all to partake in – including an intense game of giant Jenga, water balloon shenanigans, and a lot of spike ball! This is a milestone that would have not been possible without the support of every Buyataber, their own families, and the all the companies who have joined us along the way.
We can’t wait for the next ten years to come.
6. LiveChat
We implemented LiveChat as part of our omni-channel customer support. As a result, we were able to offer quicker response times and decrease call wait times. Customers can see when agents are online and know exactly when to expect a reply.
7. Web Accessibility
We made our platform accessible. For our clients that have it enabled, we made the entire e-gift and physical gift card purchase experience accessible, according to the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). We added features like an indicator of focus and created a streamlined web page, making the purchasing experience even easier.
8. In the community
We attended TechPong and although we didn’t win this year, we enjoyed hanging out at Science World in the circus-themed event. We also spoke at BC TechConnect and attended Vancouver Start-Up Week, where we met so many influential and aspiring members of the tech community. We are grateful to be a part of a close-knit and forward-thinking community.
What’s next? 2020, we’re ready for you!
